I keep hearing great things about Citizen Sleeper, and it looks like you also had a great time. I love the art style of that game but haven't played it myself yet, but this makes me look forward to it.
I'm looking forward to your opinion on Disco Elysium! I know you and I had similar experiences with that game haha
Can't wait to see how brutalized you are by Blasphemous. I passed on it for a long time before finally getting around to the first one, and wound up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.
Inscryption and Slay the Princess are games I've also skipped because I get the feeling I wouldn't be nearly as wowed by their novelty as most people that were impressed by them - but I felt the same way about Void Stranger before I finally got bullied into playing that and I was wrong there.
Thank you for the vote of confidence 😅 Blasphemous is the only game on the list I'm mentally prepared to give up on, but I will give it an honest effort anyway.
That's fair; I'm sure they won't be as novel to veteran gamers exposed to a variety of genres and styles. I genuinely enjoyed Inscryption's many elements and rug pulls, but I never for a second thought it was one of a kind. Great experience though, while Slay the Princess was the opposite. I hated it while appreciating it!
It's so much fun! If you've been contemplating getting it, you definitely should! I'm sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if it sparked your interest, well, a good chance you'll like it.
Glad to be of service! I like that the challenge is a bit of a gentle guardrail to direct my gaming leisure time. And, since I had the final say on what went onto the list, I've been pretty confident that I'd enjoy most of the games:)
Disco Elysium is an absolute treat, one of the best games I've ever played, the worst thing about it is that I can experience for the first time again 😅
lol bless whoever is making you play the ps1/64/dreamcast era spiderman game
It was a great recommendation, I figured why not! lol
Well, I don't know how much they told you but I highly recommend
1. going to the password screen and typing in a bad word
2. playing through it a second time with the What If Mode on (using the password GBHSRSPM)

Please play Citizen Sleeper, it's so beautiful 🥹
As for Disco Elysium update... See you in summer, I guess haha

I’ve been looking at Inscryption ever since it came out but never actually tried it. I think you might have sold me, might have to grab this one.
I’m enjoying the 12 in 12 format, makes it seem easier to decide what to play! (But you’ll have to let us know if that’s true and how it works out!)

I played it a few years back and never finished because I got stuck, but this year I'm hoping to see it through!
Ah no, good luck!
